It is time that the terms of the ESSCO Team of 2017-2018 come to an end. They have done a great service to the Engineering Students in Ontario and we thank each and every one of them for their hard work and dedication to improving Engineering Students experience in Ontario. We wish them the best in their future endeavors and will always have a home with ESSCO! Below our the last remarks of some of the ESSCO Team Members of 2017-2018:
I would like to say thank you to my team and the council. I believe we’ve done a lot of good work this year. We have seen the introduction of 3 working groups to develop advocacy, formalized several partnerships with external organizations, and have seen several new events run and organized by our directors across the province. I am excited to work with the new team, and ensure they are equipped with the tools to continue pushing ESSCO in a positive direction.
Vice President Communications 2017-2018
This team was something special. Every single member excelled in their portfolio and pulled off amazing achievements this year. I am honored to serve this year with this amazing team and had the opportunity to represent engineering students in Ontario. ESSCO has develop so many of my skills from leadership, to professionalism, to adaptability. The memories made this year is something special; something that I will never forget. I look forward to the new team and I know they will continue this momentum and make a positive impact for engineering students in Ontario. Thank you to everyone who made this year possible and ESSCO will always hold a special place with me! <3
Vice President Services 2017-2018
Working with ESSCO this year has been my favourite and most fulfilling experience in the engineering student community thus far! Our provincial team has redefined teamwork for me, and ESSCO’s devotion to the development of our Ontario community is something that has shaped my future as a leader. Words cannot convey how grateful I am to the ESSCO team, councils, delegates and volunteers who have been a part of this journey, and who I am so lucky to now call friends. I am proud to have left my mark on ESSCO, and happier still to see the incredible mark it has left on me.
Vice President Finance and Administration 2017-2018
Working with the ESSCO team and Council has been an amazing opportunity that has given me a lot of professional development and teamwork experience takeaways. It has allowed me to improve my skills and let me use the skills I brought to the team to help steer the provincial council in a direction the engineering students in Ontario see fit. I have full confidence in the direction ESSCO is going and I'm proud to have contributed in the best way I could. I wish the best for all future endeavours!
Director of Sports South 2017-2018
For the past year, I had the pleasure of working with ESSCO as the Director of Sports South. ESSCO presented me the opportunity to connect and collaborate with some of the most hard working, wonderful people I’ve ever met. While I may not hold a position with ESSCO next year, I plan on working closely with the organization with a common goal of benefiting engineering students across Ontario. Until working with ESSCO, I had no idea of the impact that students could have on such a large scale. ESSCO taught me that I can make a difference.
Director of ESSCO Fund 2017-2018
Serving as the Director of the ESSCO Fund this past year has been an incredibly rewarding experience; one that I will cherish. Thank you to the incredible Executive team as well as the various other Directors for making the year so memorable. Meeting and working with engineering students from all over Ontario has given me an appreciation for the diverse set of skills and interests that we as students pursue outside of our respective engineering disciplines. Our common zeal for the betterment of the overall experience as an engineering student in combination with our diverse set of interests is what makes the Engineering Student Society of Ontario, to me, truly special.
Director of Sports North 2017-2018
Being a part of ESSCO this past year was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. The people I met and the memories I have will be with me forever. I will treasure every second of it, from running the hockey tournament, to forming a second family, and everywhere in between. If there is one statement I can make about being a part of ESSCO, it's that it really helps you find yourself. I was unsure of what I wanted to do before this year, but after meeting the people I did and becoming a better person myself, I know that ESSCO is where I belong.
Also thank you to the service and dedication of:
